Presentation: Clear solution. Diluted to 200 mg/50 ml

Class: Catecholamine

Action: D1, beta 1, alpha agonist

Use: Inotrope, chronotrope, vasoconstrictor

Dose: 1-20 mcg/kg/min

Route: IV

Onset: Immediate

Duration: Half life 2 minutes

Complications: Arrhythmias, vasocostriction, angina

Elimination: Monoamine oxidase and catechol-O-methyl transferase
