Pharmacology

Presentation: Diluted to 5 mg/50 ml

Class: Catecholamine

Action: Alpha and beta agonist

Use: Resuscitation, inotrope, chronotrope, vasoconstrictor

Dose: From 0.05 mcg/kg/min

Route: IV, IM, SC, ET

Onset: Immediate

Duration: Half life- 2 minutes

Complications:  Arrhythmias, vasodilation, angina

Elimination: MAO and COMT
