Effect of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) on mortality in patients with acute cardiogenic pulmonary oedema: a meta-analysis.

Main Conclusion

The use of CPAP in cardiogenic pulmonary oedema significantly reduces mortality. Bi-level ventilation is associated with a non significant trend towards reduced mortality.
