1. Draw the log dose-response curves of different types of drugs, giving examples of each.
- What is the ED50?
2. Compare the cardiovascular effects of the various volatile anaesthetic agents, and compare each of these effects to those of a Ca2+ antagonist.
- Describe the molecular mechanisms by which these agents cause vasodilatation.
3. Discuss the metabolism of the volatile anaesthetics.
4. Classify the various types of sympathomimetic agent, giving examples of each class and describing the receptors involved.
